The new 105 R7000 components are not only visually oriented towards their big siblings Dura Ace R9100 and Ultegra R8000, but also from a technical point of view some features of the top groups have been adopted. With a variety of translation options and the choice between rim and disc brakes, it is just as suitable for everyday drivers as for racing use.
The newly designed RD-R7000 rear derailleur significantly reduces the operating forces on the lever. Among other things, it ensures more direct train control of the rear derailleur. Compared to its predecessor, the usual precise and fast gear changes are retained. The rear derailleur sits closer to the frame thanks to the compact shadow design. This slim, low-profile design looks good and protects the rear derailleur from damage in the event of a fall.
